אירועי האקאתון הם אירועים שבהם מתכנסים מפתחים, אנשי שיווק, עיצוב ותוכן ובתוך
פרק זמן קצוב, לרוב 48-24 שעות, בוחרים רעיון ומפתחים אותו עד שלב של מוצר בסיסי
קיים.
לאירועים שכאלה מגיעים אנשים מתחומים שונים ואם מתמזל המזל, חלק מהצוותים אף ממשיכים לעבוד יחד גם בתום ההאקאתון.
נעמי שרוני השתתפה בהאקאתון של MindCet, החממה הטכנולוגית של מט"ח, שהתקיים בחודש מאי האחרון. שרוני, העוסקת בהוראה ובהדרכת מחשבים, הגיעה עם רעיון לאפליקציה המפשטת את תהליך התכנון והיצירה של סרטון קצר בשפה הקולנועית. במהלך ההאקאתון היא הציעה את הרעיון וחברו אליה צוות של אנשי מקצוע לפיתוח הרעיון, ביניהם מפתח המערכות ליעד קשנובסקי, ואבי מילגרום, אמן וידאו.
"הגעתי להאקאתון עם צורך שזיהיתי בשטח, במסגרת העבודה. לא הכרתי את האנשים לפני האירוע, אבל הצוות, שנולד באותו האקאתון ממשיך לקדם את פעילות המיזם גם כיום", מספרת שרוני. הצוות של שרוני, MoveMe, מפתח כיום אפליקצייה המסייעת ביצירת סרטוני וידיאו, הן מבחינה רעיונית והן מבחינת השימוש בשפה קולנועית.
האם קשה לגייס מתכנתים לאירועי האקאתון? אבי ורשבסקי, מנהל חממת MindCet, שערכה את ההאקאתון בו הכירו שרוני וצוותה, מספר שההיענות גבוהה: "הגיוס פחות קשה משחשבנו. יש התלהבות של אנשי טכנולוגיה שרוצים לקחת חלק באירועים שכאלה. בתהליך הגיוס אנחנו מגדירים את כמות המשתתפים שאנחנו רוצים להגיע אליה, כ– 100-120 איש. רבע מהמשתתפים הם מתכנתים, והשאר מורים, מעצבים ומעצבי מוצר בחלקים שווים".
ורשבסקי מספר ש-MindCet, היוצאת בימים אלה בסבב גיוס סטארט-אפים למחזור השני של החממה, נמצאת עדיין בקשר עם שלושה פרויקטים שצמחו מתוך ההאקאתון.
